The saree is made from pure cotton or silk yarn, which is first dyed in the desired color and then woven by skilled weavers. The intricate patterns are created by adding extra weft threads while weaving, which gives a raised effect to the design. This technique requires a lot of skill and patience and can take up to a month to complete one saree.
