Garuda

Garuda is a legendary bird-like creature in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain mythology. It is often depicted as a golden-winged bird with a human-like face and a serpent-like body. In Hindu mythology, Garuda is the mount (vahana) of the god Vishnu, and is considered to be the king of all birds. According to Hindu mythology, Garuda was born to the sage Kashyapa and his wife Vinata. His name is derived from the Sanskrit word “garut” which means “devourer” or “swallower”. Legend has it that Garuda was born with immense strength and power, and was feared by all creatures. As the mount of Vishnu, Garuda is depicted as a symbol of speed, strength, and grace. He is often shown carrying Vishnu on his back, with his wings spread out in flight.
