The word “Kathastitch” is derived from two words – “Katha”, which means story and “stitch”, which refers to the embroidery technique used in these dupattas. This technique involves weaving stories and motifs into the fabric using colorful threads, creating intricate and unique designs. The handloom process used to create these dupattas is a labor-intensive one, with skilled weavers spending hours on each piece to create the intricate designs.
