Printed pure cotton Ajrakh short top is a traditional Indian garment that is known for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns and rich cultural heritage. It is made from pure cotton fabric and is adorned with hand block printing using natural dyes. The word ''ajrakh'' comes from the Arabic word ''azrak'' which means blue, and this color is often used as a base for the printing process. The process of creating an Ajrakh top involves several steps, starting with washing and bleaching the cotton fabric to make it ready for printing. The fabric is then dyed in natural colors, mainly indigo, red, black and white, using vegetable and mineral dyes. The printing is done using hand-carved wooden blocks that are dipped in the dye and then stamped onto the fabric in a repetitive pattern. This method of printing is known as block printing and is a labor-intensive process.
