Description

The royal fabric has a rich trading history all over the world. Tussar Silk is the symbol of royalty due to its qualities like soft feel, elegant and classic appearance, and high cost of production. Tussar Silk is also known as Kosa silk which is a very popular textile. Tussar silk is rich in quality and softness. What makes this fabric special is the texture of the silk which is because of the moth from which this fabric is made. It has a pale sheen which provides the natural lustre, shine and softness for a long period of time. The technique involves a lot of effort and hard work. Firstly, the silkworms are fed on Arjun tree leaves. It is said that the diet of the silkworm affects the quality of the silk which is why Tussar silk is different from other silk. Cocoons are collected and boiled. This process is known as thread extraction. These silk threads are then coloured with natural dye or acid dye; this process is called Dyeing. Then comes the magical step - spinning and weaving. In a world full of machine-made products we bring you something that ‘Reflects the hands of its makers’. Further, Pramod earned a diploma in mechanical engineering and joined the automobile manufacturing industry. But how from engineering to weaving? What a destiny. After 07 months of working away from my old parents, I realised that ‘What did I earn in my life if only I leave my old parents just for my dreams’. I left my job, came back to my village and carried forward my fathers business. I feel like no business is small or big. It depends upon us how hard we work and how big/small we make it.
