Description
White pure handloom Ikkat Jamdani Saree from Bengal is a traditional and exquisite saree that is handcrafted and woven with intricate details and designs. The term Ikkat refers to a resist-dyeing technique where the yarns are tied and dyed to create a pattern before they are woven into the fabric. This technique is mainly practiced in the states of Odisha, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh in India. Jamdani is a weaving technique that originated in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is now a popular form of weaving in West Bengal, India. In this technique, small shuttles of colored threads are passed through the weft to create a beautiful pattern on the fabric. The motifs created in Jamdani are usually floral or geometric in nature, and they are woven in a way that they appear to float on the surface of the fabric.

Saree was delivered today few days earlier than it was originally scheduled. Earlier I was little disappointed but seller was able to meet new expectations, hence I thought to edit my original review as it would have not been fair to leave original review as it is. Saree color is slightly lighter than in a pic and pattern is also little different (I am fine with it as not much difference). I am very pleased with my purchase and plan on buying more from the seller. Thanks!
